FSP 3000 is a scalable optical transport solution designed to efficiently deal with this new environment, lowering its complexity and minimizing cost-per-bit and operational efforts. With an open and modular design, FSP 3000 supports a wide range of services and applications, from data center interconnect (DCI) to carrier-optimized infrastructure solutions.

ADVA Optical Networking’s FSP3000 optical transport product family seamlessly extends Software Defined Networking to the Transport layer of the network. In order for an OpenFlow® controller to achieve the vision of end-to-end service provisioning, the Transport layer must be included. The FSP3000 has an ENNI interface that is compatible with all leading Routing products, and may be slaved to other Network Managers and SDN controllers. Capabilities already demonstrated include third-party applications running on top of SDN controllers bringing up and tearing down bookended services, including the provisioning of light paths in the physical network.
