The DTIVA products are configured to protect, control and supervise elements of the utility and industrial distribution systems, including radial, looped and meshed distribution networks.
The main protection functions of the DTIVA type include directional and non-directional overcurrent protections, voltage based protections and frequency-based protections. The automatic reclosing function (wherever present) provides multi-shot autoreclosing with a synchro-check feature. The dead times and shot numbers can be set individually for earth faults and phase faults. Additionally, the DTIVA product type includes a variety of versatile protection functions, such as high-speed distance protection with five independent protection zones and line differential protection. More specialized
applications, such as MV motor protection and capacitor bank protection, are also covered in this type by dedicated configuration variants. Because of the implemented control, measuring and monitoring function, the IEDs can also be used as a bay control unit.
